Surface geophysical surveys comprising time domain electromagnetics (TDEM) and gravity will be carried out, respectively, by Crone Geophysics Ltd of Mississauga, Ontario and Eastern Geophysics of Pubnico, Nova Scotia. The TDEM surveys are planned over target zones with known prospective nickel mineralization as well as untested VTEM targets that require further definition prior to drilling. The gravity survey is designed to provide coverage over a concentration of exploration targets and norite intrusions located in the central portion of the property including the mineralized P-013 norite where the Company intersected 5.85 metres (core length) of 2.07% nickel and 0.12% copper in hole MQ-14-066 in 2014 (see press release November 3, 2014).
Borehole TDEM surveys, to be carried out by Crone Geophysics, are planned for all drill holes in order to identify and quantify additional EM anomalies and to aid in drill hole targeting.
GEOLOGY PROGRAM
In addition to drilling and geophysics, the Company will also be implementing an in-house geology program comprising mapping, sampling and prospecting of target mafic-ultramafic intrusions as well as ground follow-up of VTEM targets. This work is focused on outlining trends of prospective mineralized intrusions and prioritizing EM conductors for potential drill testing in order to more quickly focus exploration efforts on the Company’s large property position. A directed structural mapping project will be carried out by SRK Consulting Canada Inc. ofToronto, Ontario and is based on the desktop structural interpretation carried out by SRK in 2014.
