Global Business Reports: Said Sultanov, Director, KazGeotech

Said Sultanov (SS): KazGeotech was presented to President Nazarbayev on Industrialization Day, 2nd July 2014, and registered on 30th July 2014. Equipment was brought into Kazakhstan at the beginning of September 2014, and first surveys took place mid-October. Since then, projects have been conducted for big mining companies in eastern Kazakhstan.

The technologies that KazGeotech uses – the ZTEM (Z-Tipper Axis Electromagnetic) system and VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) system – are patented by Geotech. KazGeotech has recently introduced a fixed-wing aircraft survey for Rio Tinto in Kazakhstan. KazGeotech has been able to move quickly because of efficient management style, less bureaucracy, and assistance from the Ministry of Investment and Development.
